Blockleader

A Web3 engineering collaboration spanning blockchain architecture, smart contracts, decentralized identity, payments, and document systems.

About the collaboration

Blockleader was a broad Web3 and blockchain engineering collaboration covering architecture, application development, smart contracts, infrastructure, and protocol research.

Our role

We worked as blockchain full-stack engineers, defining system architectures, developing and reviewing smart contracts, researching suitable protocols, and implementing blockchain infrastructure for multiple product concepts.

How we approached it

Each system was separated into its on-chain responsibilities, off-chain application services, storage requirements, identity model, and payment flows. Smart contracts were selected and designed around established token standards, tested before deployment, and connected to application interfaces. Where public infrastructure was not appropriate, a private Polygon Edge network was explored and implemented.

Task and invoicing platform

The work included the system architecture for a task and invoicing management platform using Web3 technologies. NFTs formed part of the authentication model and cryptocurrency was incorporated into the payment flows.

Legal document platform

Another system architecture focused on managing the signing of legal documents. Smart contracts registered document evidence on-chain, while IPFS provided decentralized document storage.

Smart contract engineering

The collaboration covered the design, development, testing, deployment, and review of smart contracts, including:

  • ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155 standards.
  • NFT and fractional NFT mechanics.
  • DeFi components such as pools and reward systems.
  • Contracts for legal-document workflows.
  • Deployment and testing across compatible blockchain environments.

Blockchain infrastructure and research

The scope also included implementing a private blockchain with Polygon Edge and researching Web3 protocols and blockchain architecture for future products.
